Here, we hope you will find some new knowledge or skill that helps make your journey through life more fulfilling, more rewarding and more exciting.
We will be your guides or teachers of certain subjects where each of us has some expertise. So you can rely upon the information you find here as though it were brought to you by “gurus” in their subject. (By the way, they don’t like to think of themselves as gurus, but we believe they are.)
As you will see from the TV episodes you’ll find on SCTV (Skills Connection Television) we are all passionate about the subjects we talk about.
This also makes the content of our website educational and entertaining – some even call this “Edutainment”
Come back to our Freeview channel on a regular basis and you’ll be able to collect random episodes for free. If you like what you see in these Freeview episodes, you might want to buy a full series on the subject. The knowledge you’ll find here might cost a few pounds but we believe you’ll get a payback worth many times the initial cost. In fact, most of the knowledge available here, has up until now only been available via Instructor Lead training events, costing hundreds of pounds to attendance (minimum). But we're going to change all that!
Being passionate about a subject means we might have some controversial views. This is because there is a lot of misinformation on some of the subjects we care about. Please don’t take any offence but feel free to feed back your comments – positive or negative.
But if you are looking for something on this website we know you don’t just seek knowledge – you can get this anywhere on the Internet, usually for free. We believe you also want to know HOW to use that knowledge,or new skill, and make sure you are applying it correctly. For many of the subjects you’ll find here on SCTV are some associated events. So click on the Events button or follow the link from a TV episode. We would love to meet you personally at one of these events, and we’ve priced them to make them attractive for you to come along and bring a friend or colleague.
Oh yes, you won’t find any banner advertising or pop-ups at SCTV. We find it annoying and we are sure you do too.
